When we as humans face difficult problems we have a tendency to give up far too easily. Instead of persevering we prefer to look for someone to blame.

We’ll blame our boss, our work colleagues, our partners, our kids, the government. In fact, we’ll blame anyone but we rarely blame ourselves. This process makes us feel better about our lives and serves as an excuse for not succeeding.

Conversely, when rats face difficult situations they adopt a totally different attitude. They are born survivors, there are more of them than us on this planet.

Nothing stops them. If there is a way, a solution to a problem then they will find it, no matter how long it takes them or how difficult the problem is.

The rat in it’s own simplified way knows one of the secrets of success. It takes RESPONSIBILTY for it’s life. If we don’t take responsibility for our own lives then someone else will. – personal development made easy – andy o’neill
